“My wife and I recently did a walking tour in Warsaw with Mona through Withlocals, and it was truly one of the best guided tours we have ever experienced. Mona was incredibly passionate, knowledgeable, and engaging from start to finish. What made the experience especially meaningful was that she personally remembered the transition from Soviet occupation to a democratic Poland where people could finally vote freely. Her firsthand perspective brought the history of Warsaw to life in a way that no guidebook ever could. She was particularly passionate about the reconstruction of Warsaw after World War II. Through her stories and historical photographs showing the city before and after reconstruction, we gained a much deeper appreciation for the resilience of the Polish people and the remarkable rebuilding of the city. Mona’s enthusiasm was contagious. She made every stop interesting and memorable, and the time flew by. I once read a review from someone who said that after many guided tours around the world, Mona may have given the best tour they had ever experienced. “Mona had an very interesting guided tour in the New Modern Art Museum, which for the moment contains several international contemporary and modern art exhibitions. She knows the both art history, Polish and comparative international history the exhibitions very well and in every exhibition she focused on some of her favorits, making the excursion more unique and personal in a way. During the excursion her also gave time for short discussion and questions. I experienced Mona as a very friendly, communicative and nice person. I would strong recommend an art exursion with her!”

“Prior to my arrival in Warsaw I had email discussions with Mona about what my desires were in learning the most about Warsaw and how Mona would be able to help. Based on where we were staying Mona created an itinerary using our hotel as the starting point. She was extremely punctual (10 minutes early) and started the tour using our hotel's history as the beginning of the tour. She then brought us to all of the most wonderful sights of Warsaw and concluded with the history and current trends of Warsaw. Her tour gave us EXACTLY what we had asked for. Our host effortlessly guided us through a delightful conversation about Polish cuisine, people and culture. Her knowledge and passion for her country's traditions were truly contagious.
